Experiment

Lately it has been a challenge posting on my blog. I have written several lengthy posts which have vanished into thin air. I have no idea where they went, or how to get them back.

So this is an experimental post just to see if it will publish, or vanish.

  1. Not sure why your blog posts have been disappearing -- might be a function of Blogger or not. I started out with Wordpress, which can host either on the Wordpress site (like Blogger) or you can self host.

But the biggest reason for my comment is that most blog programs have an autosave function. check around and see if yours does, they might be there waiting for you. :-)

If you find out you have no auto-save switch to turn on, you can do what I do with all my posts: which is to compose them on my laptop/desktop in a word processing program and then when the article is ready to go I copy and paste it into my Wordpress installation. 'Puters have gotten so sophisticated that a lot of people no longer think about saving as they go, but I set my word processor to save every three minutes and then I don't have to worry about it.

Either way.... I hope you suss out the problem and master the solution.

    cheers,
    Peter

    1. The auto save seemed to be working, but when I went to edit all that was saved was the title. Seemed to be a problem with several drafts.
Will be happy when I am back using my laptop instead of my iPad.
