I am living in a Magic Bus. And after several conversations, it seems I am not the only one.
I am very organized and live in a very small space, but things just seem to disappear! I am diligent about putting things in their "proper home" so it is a mystery to me how things can completely vanish and no matter how many times I search through all the bins and cupboards, they remain lost in space.
It seems I spend an inordinate amount of time on my hands and knees looking everywhere I can possibly think of only to come up empty handed. How can you lose an iridescent green tennis ball? A beautiful casserole dish? A newly purchased tube of sunscreen? Eyeglasses??? I will find things and then they will disappear AGAIN!
I might be a little more concerned if other people hadn't confirmed that they too live in these magic buses. Some even have mysterious beeping or buzzing noises that go off at unknown times and even with a thorough search cannot be found.
It is an amazing world living in these magic buses but I am just not too thrilled about buying another tube of sunscreen. Hope it doesn't vanish like the last one did.

|Rainbow At The Slabs|
My new house batteries seem to have done the trick and I had no further problems with my generator and survived the chilly nights. Bruce welcomed me as soon as I pulled in and continued to feed me some of the best food. How does he do it??

For more information you can purchase Greg Stotts' book "Slab City Then and Now" from his website at http://www.slabcitybook.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html. Got myself an autographed copy.
I couldn't stay too long at the Slabs because I had to get back to Arizona to catch a Christmas Eve flight to Pensacola, FL. My mom and Dan traveled from Phoenix, my brother from Louisiana and my sister and new brother-in-law from North Carolina so that we could all be together for the holiday. So very thankful for the beautiful condo and this time with my family.
